For many new boaters, having a good time on class II or III whitewater like the Nantahala is as good as it gets. You catch eddies, surf fun waves, maybe even jump in a big bubbly hole. You cheer on your friends or give them pointers on how to stay on longer, complete a flat spin, or get through a rapid more gracefully. At the end of a great day on the water, you hit the pub with your buddies, sharing food and drink and a river tale or two. You feel happy having enjoyed the great outdoors with good company in a tiny plastic boat. But you might not realize that the sport you enjoy so much looked a lot different not very long ago. And that Wave Sport and Endless River Adventures are 20-year partners in seeing these changes happen.
Thank you Adrea of CompassWriting.com for this great interview!
MARK YOUR CALENDAR: July 13th is our anniversary celebration!
2013 marks the 20th year in business for Endless River Adventures (known to many as ERA). For two decades, “the shop” at ERA has been the go-to place for quality kayak instruction, a gear store, rafting outfitter, fly-fishing headquarters, a great place to park in the Gorge, and a homey back porch for paddlers of all ages and abilities. Look for special events and parties to celebrate the landmark as well as articles and interviews with key partners, friends, and supporters.

Rain rain don't go away - we want another play day! A brief window into why the south east is such a paradise for boaters appeared the past few days with amazing river levels all over the place. Overflow is one of the highlights for Class IV+ boaters and it was a good stomp'n level - perfect for test driving the new Wave Sport Recon. Craig was willing to "sacrifice" his time and give the Recon an all-out southern test drive. OverFlow + Recon=great review by Craig (and pretty funny too).....
