Host 9th Annual Wave Sport Nantahala Open

Nantahala River, NC. – 2013 -  Endless River Adventures and Team Wave Sport, as well as our industry sponsors are pleased to announce the 9th annual Nantahala Open. The date of this year’s event is Saturday, April 27th, 2013. The Nantahala Open will again be dedicated to Team River Runner. 

May is the best month for Ocoee and Cheoah! You have the Upper Ocoee, Middle Ocoee and Cheoah all coming together for the best Class III-IV and Class IV+ river package!

2013 marks the 20^th year in business for Endless River Adventures (known to many as ERA). For two decades, “the shop” at ERA has been the go-to place for quality kayak instruction, a gear store, rafting outfitter, fly-fishing headquarters, a great place to park in the Gorge, and a homey back porch for paddlers of all ages and abilities. Look for special events and parties to celebrate the landmark as well as articles and interviews with key partners, friends, and supporters.

The southeast is host to a summer full of events, competitions, races, many of which are centered on and around the Nantahala River. Join us for a summer full of events, competitions, races scheduled throughout the southeast and the Nantahala River. For participants and spectators alike, keep posted on all the dates during the season.

The RioQuijos EcoLodge is your South American escape for whitewater, bird watching, biking, hiking, and enjoying the beauty of the Oriente of Ecuador.

Rain rain don't go away - we want another play day!  A brief window into why the south east is such a paradise for boaters appeared the past few days with amazing river levels all over the place.  Overflow is one of the highlights for Class IV+ boaters and  it was a good stomp'n level - perfect for test driving the new Wave Sport Recon.  Craig was willing to "sacrifice" his time and give the Recon an all-out  southern test drive.  OverFlow + Recon=great review by Craig (and pretty funny too).....

There are 17 countries registered for the September 7-9 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Cup!  Coming from as far away as New Zealand, Australia and Japan, the Nantahala Gorge is already welcoming in the teams here to compete on the Nantahala Freestyle Wave.

GRAND OPENING OF 2013 WORLD FREESTLYE CHAMPIONSHIP WAVE SET FOR DECEMBER 16TH

Bryson City, NC (December 8, 2011)—The Nantahala Gorge Organizing Committee (“NGOC”) will celebrate the grand opening of the 2013 Wave on Friday, December 16 with a ceremony, reception and paddling exhibition starting at 12pm. The 2013 Wave is the competition site of the 2013 ICF Canoe Freestyle World Championships on the Nantahala River, an event expected to draw 500 international athletes and thousands of spectators.

The Nantahala River will host the 2013 International Freestyle Competition.  And the remodeling of the feature is underway!

It is time to get out and boat!

The Pacuare River of Costa Rica will host more 35 countries this month for the 2011 World Rafting Championships.

The Nantahala River will be the site of the 2011 Canoe & Kayak Slalom National Championships-hosted by the Nantahala Race Club.

The end of labor Day weekend signals the end of week-day releases on the Ocoee River. But Saturdays and Sundays and full fall release week are all wonderful times to be on the river!

A new chapter of Team River Runner has been formed in Augusta, GA.  Endless River Adventures (ERA) has committed to sponsoring the newly formed chapter with equipment procurement and hands-on training for volunteer staff and participating vets.
