Nantahala River Rafting, Fully Guided, Rental, Duckys, Family Fun
Options for Whitewater Rafting on the Class II-III Nantahala River:
FULLY GUIDED RAFTING TRIPS: If you do not have experience on whitewater, are not familiar with the rapids on the Nantahala River, or if you will be rafting with children, a guided trip is recommended. Our guided trips are fully-guided, meaning we guarantee a guide in your raft. Our guides are trained professionals, certified in CPR and first aid, and are committed to making sure you have a great time on the river.
GUIDED DUCKY TRIPS: If you are ready to branch out from a raft, but still prefer the company of a guide, our guided ducky trip is just the perfect choice for you! We offer both individual and group rates for guided trips.
SELF-GUIDED/RENTAL RAFT TRIPS - The Nantahala is not a one-time affair! For more experienced river rafters, you may opt for a self-guided raft and guide yourself down the river. We provide all the equipment, trip orientation and shuttles and you guide yourselves down the river. Group rates available for 12+ whitewater enthusiasts!
DUCKY/INFLATABLE KAYAK TRIPS: The most high-performance raft trip! Duckys are for the adventurous, for the expereinced and for those who prefer to go down in a double duck or a single duck/inflatable kayak. This is a great way to test out whether you want to try whitewater kayaking.
WHAT'S A "DUCKY?"
For the more daring, the inflatable kayaks (aka: duckys) are available for running the river again and again. A ducky or inflatable kayak is a one or two person inflatable raft. Duckys are a great choice for experienced river rafters who are looking for a more high-performance trip down the river. We offer both guided ducky trips and ducky rentals. And wet suits are complimentary for all our ducky guests.
Parents: There is a minimum weight limit for children of sixty (60) pounds or seven (7) years old, which is strictly enforced by the U.S. Forest Service. Please make sure your children meet the requirement before the trip to avoid disappointing them on arrival.
