When/Where did you start kayaking: 1987- ish up in Delaware... we would do weekend trips to the Lehigh and Yough

Where has kayaking taken you professionally: I was able to learn a lot about business and management through stints guiding, helping set up operations, outpost management, instructing and boat designing. I have had the opportunity to travel and see remote places from my seat (kayak seat!). And along the way have  been able to integrate my love of whitewater with my academia of engineering design
 
When not on the river, where can you be found: Trying to finish a small cabin, selling real estate or flying (both which I do professionally now)

Favorite River to be on:a quiet one
 
Best river memory/story:soloing a run that hadn't been explored down in Ecuador with a broken toe!
