WHITEWATER KAYAKING JUST FOR KIDS: KAYAK INSTRUCTION, KIDS KAYAK CAMP, KIDS KAYAK GEAR

 

We have a reputation for working well with kids because we know how to combine fun with skill development. You can choose between private instruction or participation in one of our annual kids camp—or a combination of the two.

Join us for our annual 4th of July round up where you can choose one day--or all of the week's sessions. The week has been broken into two sessions. Session I: Sun June 30, Mon July 1 and Tues July 2nd
Session II:Wed July 3, Thurs July 4th and Fri July 5th.
The 2013 annual camp will include two sessions each day: Level One will be an itinerary for beginner through advanced beginner boaters, and Level Two will be a Nantahala-Ocoee itinerary.  Both itineraries will incorporate beginner to advanced freestyle training and slalom gate work. Check with us about the bring-a-friend program.

Beginning Kids Weekend: July 27 & July 28, August 10 & August 11
A two-day weekend that is all about learning how to kayak.  Our goal is to get you comfortable in your boat, out of the boat, on the lake and down the river! 
Weekend Price: $250.00. Includes instructor, gear, transportation and a great kids lunch.

Ocoee Kids Weekend: August 17- August 18
Two great days on the Ocoee River!  Day one will be a keeping-things-low-keyed for those not as comfortable on the Ocoee, setting up a mentorship with those more comfortable to create a super positive experience.  Day two will be working more on playboating and boofing: using angle, momentum and primary strokes whether initiating a play move or boofing.
Weekend Price: $250.00. Includes instructor, gear, transportation and a great kids lunch. The group will return to the Nantahala Gorge each evening for parent pick-up (although this may change).

The Annual Kids Swap Event
Is the paddling family going though growing pains (in the wallet as well as the kid) ? The Kid's Swap Event is just for both parents and and the young and growing paddlers in the family. The Kids Swap Event will be all weekend, June 30th and July 01st.
