Hometown: Once Upon A Time, Dallas, TX, before eventually finding home here Wesser,NC for most of the year, Costa Rica and Ecuador for the remaining (cold)months.

Years Paddling: since the late 80's
Where did you first get interested in paddling: While working in Washington, DC, seeing paddlers on the Potomac River at Great Falls and then while rafting on the Gauley River.
When Not on the River: You can find me reading Rolling Stone Magazine, or pulling weeds in the garden.
Paddling Accomplishments: Gaining the respect of fellow boaters as a river guide in Costa Rica, Ecuador and Chile. And watching many of the young people that I taught to kayak grow up to be outstanding paddlers and more than a handful of them returning to ERA as staff.
